1. What is the danger of misuse of Aadhaar?
By using the Aadhaar number wrong, someone can open a bank account in your name, take a loan, or take advantage of government schemes. Sometimes mobile SIMs or other services are also activated in a fake way.
2. How to know your Aadhaar was misused or not?
UIDAI has given a facility called “Authentication History”, so that you can see when, where and for what purpose it was used.
3. How to see Authority History?
First go to the Myaadhaar portal (https://myaadhaar.uidai.gov.in).
Fill a 12 -digit Aadhaar number and captcha, then login via OTP.
Select the option “Aadhaar Authentication History” on the dashboard.
Choose the type of date and authentication (eg biometric, demographic or OTP).
The history of the last 6 months will be seen on the screen as soon as they submit.
4. What to see in history?
Here you will see the date, time, and which agency using your base, all this will see it. If someone is unknown or suspicious activity, then be alert immediately.
5. What to do if you misuse it?
Go to UIDAI’s website (https://resident.uidai.gov.in/file-complaint) and file a complaint.

6. Option to lock Aadhaar
If you are prone to repeated misuse, you can lock the biometric data of your base from the UIDAI portal or the MAADHAAR app. This will not be able to do any biometric authentication without your permission.
7. Take care while giving photocopy
For what purpose is being given on Aadhaar’s photocopy, for what purpose is being given. Do not share complete information with anyone unnecessarily.
8. Check history from time to time
See your authentication history at regular intervals, so that any suspicious activity can be detected in time.
9. Keep Aadhaar updates
