SBI The card has announced several important changes for its credit card holders. These new changes that will be applicable from 15 July 2025. These changes include ending air accident insurance, new calculations and payment settlements of the minimum amount of minimum amount due to payment.
Now free air accident insurance will not be available
Till now, customers used to get free air accident insurance on many SBI premium cards. But this facility is being discontinued from 15 July 2025. These include many more facilities.
SBI Card Elite, Miles Elite and Miles Prime: The free air accident cover of ₹ 1 crore will be finished on these.
SBI Card Prime and Pulse: A cover of Rs 50 lakhs on these will also be closed.
The feature on co-branded cards will be closed from 11 August 2025, including several cards.
1 crore cover will be closed: Elite Cards of UCO Bank, Central Bank of India, Punjab & Sindh Bank (PSB), Karur Vaishya Bank (KVB) and Allahabad Bank.
The cover of 50 lakh rupees will be closed: Insurance cover will be closed on the Platinum cards issued by UCO Bank, Central Bank of India, Punjab & Sindh Bank (PSB), Karur Vaishya Bank, South Indian Bank, Karnataka Bank, City Union Bank and Allahabad Bank, and Union Bank of India (UBI), Oriental Bank of Commerce (OBC), Federal Bank and Bank of Maharashtra.
New calculus of minimum amount de (Mad)
Now the minimum amount of SBI card will be extracted in this way.
100% EMI amount.
100% fees and other charges.
100% finance charge.
Overlimit amount (if any)
2% of the balance amount
This change means that now the Mad may be slightly higher, and not paying it on time can cost more interest.

Now when you pay the outstanding amount of your card, there will be a fixed set of payment.
