Aadhaar A big relief news is coming out for the card holders. The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) is going to launch a new mobile application soon, which is currently known as E-Aadhaar. Through this app, users will be able to update many information of their Aadhaar cards like names, address, date of birth and mobile number sitting at home. Due to this, people will not have to visit the centers for Aadhaar updates and all the information will be found from home.
According to UIDAI’s CEO Bhuvanesh Kumar, 2,000 machines have been linked to this new system out of about 1 lakh Aadhaar updated machines. This will make the process of Aadhaar update easier.

Mobile-to-mobile and app-to-app will be Aadhaar verification.

No official announcement has been made by UIDAI on this app at present, but it may be launched soon.
E-governance portal and new QR code system
A few months ago, the Ministry of Electronics and IT also launched Aadhaar Good God Portal. Its purpose is to make Aadhaar -linked process easy, faster and transparent. With this, the Aadhaar Verification request will be approved quickly. Now UIDAI is preparing to bring another big change, that is QR code-based verification. With this, Aadhaar can be safely shared with others through mobile or app. It can be used for identification in hotel check-in, train ticket verification, government service.
What is Aadhaar?
Aadhaar is a 12 -digit unique identity number of the Government of India, which is a proof of the person’s identity and address. In this, information like name, address, gender, date of birth is recorded and the person’s biometric data (fingerprint, iris scan) is also taken. Any citizen of India who completes the verification process of UIDAI can apply for Aadhaar.
