Former head coach of the Indian cricket team, Ravi Shastri has said that he would have taken Mohammed Shami to Australia and the medical team would have monitored him. Ravi Shastri told the ICC Review that he would have kept Shami with Team India and decided that his rehab should be with the team. He said that even after the third Test, if it was felt that Shami was not in a position to play, then he would have been allowed to go. But he would have definitely brought Shami with the team. Ravi Shastri also said that he would have consulted international level physios in Australia regarding Shami.
