Honoring climbers in Nepal, which included Amit Negi from Kinnaur.
More than 100 climbers were honored on the occasion of International Everest Day in Nepal. 15 climbers of India were also involved in this ceremony. Nepal Tourism Minister Badri Pandey presented appreciation certificates to all climbers.

Amit Negi from Kinnaur in Himachal Pradesh was also among those who were honored. He is one of India’s youngest Everest winners. He has successfully conquered Everest (8848.86 m), Kanchanjanga (8,586 m) and Annapurna (8091 m).
The first youth of Kinnaur climbing Annapurna mountain
Amit is the first youth of Kinnaur who has climbed the Annapurna mountain. Ashish Singh, Nisha Kumari, Anuja Vaidya, Baljit Kaur, Suvidha Kadlag, Surya Prakash, Sheikh Himanshu, Satyarupa Siddhant, Jyoti Ratre and Navodita were also honored from India at the ceremony.
On this occasion, ‘Everest Alliance Nepal’ organized a special conference. Along with mountaineering, global warming and environmental change were also discussed. The Nepal government committed to promote mountain tourism and protect the Himalayas with the safety of climbers.
