RBI holiday list continues every year
The RBI releases the holiday list every year with the state governments, which can be seen on its official website. All government and private banks in the country are closed on every Sunday and the second and fourth Saturdays of every month. Apart from this, some holidays are done in the state itself. Then the bank branch remain closed in the same state only. The rest, banks are open in all states.
Long weekend on Bakrid in Kerala
In the beginning of June, people living in Kerala are going to get a long weekend. Banks will remain closed on Friday 6 June on the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha (Bakrid) in Kochi and Thiruvananthapuram. Whereas in the rest of the country, there will be a holiday of Bakrid on 7 June (Saturday) and on June 8 (Sunday), there will be a weekly holiday. In this way, people of Kerala will not be able to take advantage of the banking branch service for three days.

Digital service will remain on
Despite the closure of the bank, customers can do transactions through net banking, mobile banking, UPI and ATMs. However, check clearing and other manual service will not be on these holidays.
