Share Market Closing 27th May, 2025: The Indian stock market recorded a major decline on Tuesday. On the second day of the week, the BSE Sensex closed at 81,551.63 points with a decline of 624.82 points (0.76%). Similarly, NSE’s Nifty 50 also closed at 24,826.20 points with a loss of 174.95 points (0.70%). Let us tell you that yesterday the Sensex rose by 455.37 points to 82,176.45 points and the Nifty closed at 25,001.15 points with a gain of 148.00 points (0.60%).
Shares of 25 out of 30 of Sensex closed in red mark
On Tuesday, only 5 out of 30 companies of Sensex closed the green mark with an increase and the remaining 25 companies closed in red mark with losses. On the other hand, today, only 10 out of 50 of Nifty 50, the shares of 50 companies closed in green mark and the shares of all the remaining 40 companies closed in red mark. Today, IndusInd Bank’s shares, one of the Sensex companies, closed down 2.60 percent, while UltraTech Cement shares closed down 2.21 percent.
Today, the shares of Sunforma included in the Sensex closed down 0.42 percent, Adani Ports 0.34 percent, Nestle India 0.33 percent and Asian Paints shares closed down by 0.06 percent.
ITC, Tata Motors shares also decline a big decline
On the other hand, on Tuesday, ITC shares 2.01%, Tata Motors 1.73%, Axis Bank 1.59%, NTPC 1.40%, Mahindra & Mahindra 1.33%, HCL Tech 1.25%, Eaterial 1.01%, Bajaj Finserv 1.00%, Bajaj Finance 1.00%, ICICI Bank 0.98%, ICICI Bank 0.98%, T.T. 0.87%, Reliance 0.86%, HDFC Bank 0.69%, Powergrid 0.66%, Infosys 0.59%, Kotak Mahindra Bank 0.51%, Tata Steel 0.43%, Hindustan Unilever 0.41%, Tek Mahindra 0.34%, L&T 0.20%, Maruti 0.20%, Maruti 0.18%, Airtel closed with 0.17% and SBI shares with 0.07%.
