North East Small Finance Bank: North East Small Finance Bank (NESFB) has now been changed to Slice Small Finance Bank. This change has been made after merger with the Finntech Startup Slice. The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has verified it in the notification issued on 21 May 2025. However, after this, there is a lot of confusion among the customers of North East Small Finance Bank that their checkbooks, debit cards etc. will work as before? Or they have to apply for them again.
A SLICE Bank spokesperson said that he is working towards becoming India’s most favorite bank. The aim of the bank is to make such banking products that make people’s time and money.
Customers’ service will remain
Customers do not need to panic by changing the name. All old banking documents such as passbooks, check books, debit cards and IFSC code will continue to work as before. If you are an old NesFB customer, there is no need to panic. All your banking services will continue as before and the bank will give you information about any change from time to time.
What service will be available as before?
The current customers of SLICE SFB will be able to take advantage of all service like saving account, current account, fixed deposits, personal and business loans, gold loans, credit cards and digital banking. The bank has promised that customers will not get any hindrance in any service.
Bank’s name changed, service will remain the same
According to RBI, if the name of a bank changes, then its old documents like passbooks, check books, debit cards etc. remain valid until the bank itself gives information about changing them. The IFSC code will also remain the same as online banking service like NEFT, RTGS and IMPS will continue to run easily.
When did NesFB start?
The NesFB started in 2011, so that it extended its business in the north-eastern states. Now it is moving towards giving technology full of technology, modern banking experience with SLICE.
