The convoy of Pakistani MP and President Asif Ali Zardari’s daughter Asifa Bhutto was attacked by a mob on Friday. The Government of Pakistan is planning to build a canal on the Sindh River. The locals are angry with this.
According to the police, Asifa was going to Nawabshah from Karachi. Meanwhile, the protesters stopped his convoy and raised slogans against the disputed canal project and corporate farming. Some people attacked the convoy vehicles with hands and sticks.
The security team and the Hyderabad police along with Aasifa immediately took action and their car was safely evacuated from there. There were no casualties in this whole incident.

There were also many children in the attack crowd, who attacked with sticks.
The convoy stopped for less than 1 minute
The area’s SSP Zafar Siddiq told the media that the convoy had stopped for less than a minute and there was no harm to Aasifa or their security personnel.
He said- FIR has been lodged against the protesters trying to disturb the peace and many people have been arrested. Strict action will be taken against those who spread unrest.
Sindh Home Minister’s house burnt in Pakistan
Protesters in Pakistan burnt the house of Sindh Home Minister Ziaul Hasan Lanjar on Tuesday. The protesters also beat the guards deployed in the security of the house.
According to the report, there was a clash between police and a nationalist organization activists on Tuesday in Nausehro Feroz district of Sindh. At least 2 people died in this. Apart from this, many people on both sides were also injured.

Angry people vandalized the house of Home Minister Ziaul Hasan Lanjar, burnt rooms and furniture.
Government wants to carry water in Cholistan
According to Pakistani website Jio TV, the government plans to cultivate thousands of acres of barren land in Cholistan by making canals on Sindh River. It costs around 211 billion rupees (₹ 63 billion). However, Bilawal Bhutto’s party PPP is against it.
He says that Sindh will suffer damage and his water will be taken away. A few weeks ago, a committee (Council of Common Interest – CCI) also rejected the project. He said that no new canal will be built until all states (provinces) have mutual consent.
Despite this, protests continue in Sindh. On Tuesday, when the protesters tried to sit on the highway, the police used force to stop them. In response, people threw stones. A police officer (SHO) and two policemen were injured in the clash, while five protesters also suffered injuries. All were admitted to the hospital.
