The team of Royal Challengers Bangalore has confirmed their place for the playoffs with a brilliant performance in the IPL 2025 season. RCB is yet to play 2 more matches in the league stage, after which it will be decided which team they will clash in the playoffs. Meanwhile, a good news has come out for RCB before the playoff matches, in which his fast bowler Josh Hazlewood who was out due to unfit could see a comeback in the playoff matches.
Hazlewood started bowling practice
Josh Hazlewood played his last match against Delhi Capitals on 27 April in IPL 2025, after which he was out of the match against Chennai Super Kings on May 3, which revealed his shoulder and side strain injury. When the IPL was suspended on 9 May, Hazlewood returned to his home and then he has not yet been associated with the team since the start of the season again on 17 May. According to the news of ESPN Cricinfo, Hazlewood, who is currently undergoing the process of rehab, has started his bowling practice in Australia and he can join RCB’s squad for playoff matches, although the official announcement is still being awaited.
The season of IPL 2025 was quite spectacular for Hazlewood
Josh Hazlewood, who was playing in the IPL 2025 season from RCB, was seen to be quite brilliant with the ball, in which he played a total of 10 matches till he was injured and he managed to take 18 wickets at an average of 17.27. Hazelwood is currently at number four in the list of Purple Cap, in which if he returns to the playoff matches, he will also have a chance to reach the number position, which is currently the famous Krishna, who has taken a total of 21 wickets this season while playing in 13 matches.
