PM Modi launched Rising North East Investors Summit, Adani Group will invest Rs 50,000 crore

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has launched the Rising North East Investors Summit in Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi today on Friday morning. The goal of this Investors Summit aims to highlight the northeast region as a land of opportunities, attract global and domestic investment and bring major stakeholders, investors and policy makers on a platform. The main focus sectors of investment incentives include tourism and hospitality, agri-food processing, textile, handicraft, healthcare, education, skill development, IT-backed services, infrastructure and logistics, energy and entertainment and sports.

Adani Group will invest 50,000 crores

Adani Group Chairman Gautam Adani said at the summit that the group is continuously investing in the North East. He also announced a big investment here. Adani said that his group would invest an additional Rs 50,000 crore in the northeastern states. This investment will be made in the next 10 years. Adani said that this will be invested in sectors such as green energy, smart meters, hydro, power transmission, highways, digital infrastructure and logistics.

Center minister went to North East more than 700 times

Addressing the summit, PM Modi said, ‘The change that has come in the North East in the last 11 years is not just a matter of data, it is a change on the ground. We have not only formed a relationship with the North East through plans, we have made a heartfelt relationship. More than 700 times our central government ministers have gone to North East and my rule was not just to come and do night stay was compulsory. We did not see infrastructure just with brick and cement, we made it a medium of emotional connect. There was a time when the North East was only called Frontier Region, today it is becoming a front runner of growth.

Industry did not miss first mover advantage

The PM said that the land has been prepared in the North East. He said, ‘Our industries should go ahead and take full advantage of this opportunity. You do not have to miss the First Mover Advantage. Today the trade volume between India and ASEAN is about $ 125 billion. In the coming time it will cross $ 200 billion. North East will play an important role in this. There will be direct contact with the highway between India, Myanmar and Thailand. This will prove to be a big boon for the industry. The PM said that North East is also a great place for Destination Wedding.
