Babar Azam Runs In World Test Championship: The second test match is being played between Pakistan and South Africa, in which South African team captain Temba Bavuma won the toss and decided to bowl first. After this, the African team, batting first, made a mountain-like score of 615 runs. Then the Pakistani team was all out for 194 runs in the first innings. After this, in the second innings the Pakistani team has scored 150 runs without any loss. Pakistani team’s superstar batsman Babar Azam has batted excellently. Has scored half-centuries for Pakistani team in both the innings.

Babar Azam batted powerfully

Babar Azam scored 58 runs for Pakistan in the first innings. In the second innings, he is still present at the crease after scoring 60 runs. By scoring two half-centuries in the same Test match, he has overtaken Steve Smith and Ben Stokes in terms of scoring the most half-centuries in the World Test Championship. Babar now has 18 half-centuries in his name in WTC. Whereas Smith and Stokes have scored 17-17 half-centuries in the World Test Championship.

Williamson also lagged behind

As soon as Babar Azam scored a half-century in the second innings, he has overtaken Kane Williamson and Usman Khawaja in terms of scoring runs in the World Test Championship. Babar has scored a total of 2920 runs so far. Whereas Usman has scored 2870 runs and Williamson has scored 2822 runs in the World Test Championship. Babar is also the Pakistani batsman who has scored the most runs in the WTC. No Pakistani batsman has scored more runs than him in WTC.

Played cricket in all three formats for Pakistan

Babar Azam made his Test debut for the Pakistani team in 2016. After this, he confirmed his place in the team by playing many brilliant innings. So far, he has scored a total of 4051 runs in 56 test matches for the Pakistani team, which includes 9 centuries and 27 half-centuries. Apart from this, he has scored 5927 runs in 123 ODI matches. He has scored 4223 runs in 128 T20I matches, which includes three centuries.
