Share Market Closing 22nd May, 2025: The Indian stock market once again saw a big decline. On Thursday, the BSE Sensex closed at 80,951.99 points with a major decline of 644.64 points (0.79%). Similarly, NSE’s Nifty also closed at 24,609.70 points with a loss of 203.75 points (0.82%) today. Earlier on Tuesday, there was a huge decline in the market. On Tuesday, the Sensex closed down 873 points and the Nifty closed by 262 points. However, there was an edge in the market on Wednesday. Today on Thursday, most of the Sensex’s stocks closed in red mark with loss.
Mahindra & Mahindra’s shares decline a big decline
On Thursday, only 4 out of 30 companies of Sensex closed in green mark with an increase and the shares of 25 companies closed in red mark. While the stock of a company closed without any change. On the other hand, today, only 11 out of 50 of Nifty 50 closed the shares in green mark and the remaining 39 companies closed in red mark with fall. Today, IndusInd Bank’s shares, one of the Sensex companies, closed down to 1.73 percent, while Mahindra & Mahindra’s shares closed down 2.27 percent.
Tech Mahindra, ITC, Bajaj Finserv also declined
Apart from these, Tech Mahindra’s shares were included in Sensex companies today, 1.77 percent, ITC 1.72%, Bajaj Finserv 1.54%, Powergrid 1.44%, Maruti Suzuki 1.34%, Hindustan Unilever 1.31%, Nestle India 1.26%, NTPC 1.24%, Reliance Industries 1.20%, TCS 1.20%, TCS 1.19%, 1.15%, Tata Motors 1.14%, Larsen & Toubro 1.08%, Titan 0.92%, HCL Tech 0.85%, Axis Bank 0.75%, Asian Paints 0.55%, Adani Ports 0.54%, Bajaj Finance 0.52%, Sunforma 0.52%, Sunforma 0.52%, HDFC Bank 0.26%, SBI 0.15% and Tata Steel shares closed down by 0.06%.
On the other hand, Bharti Airtel’s shares closed today with 0.44 percent, UltraTech Cement 0.10 percent, Eterinal 0.09 percent. On Thursday, Kotak Mahindra Bank shares closed without any change.
