Interglobe Aviation, the country’s largest airline, the country’s largest airline, has made a record profit in the fourth quarter of FY 2025. The company recorded its most fourth quarter profit in this period (January-March) after a tax of Rs 3,067.5 crore. According to PTI news, the company says that strong air travel demand has played the biggest role in it. After the company’s tax in three months ended March 2025, the profit of Rs 1,894.8 crore jumped from Rs 1,894.8 crore, which was in a period of a year ago. The board has recommended a dividend of Rs 10 per equity share.
Indigo’s total income also increased strongly
According to the news, IndiGo’s capacity increased by 21 percent to 42.1 billion in the fourth quarter of FY 2024-25, while the number of passengers increased by 19.6 percent to 3.19 crore.
The total income increased to Rs 23,097.5 crore in the fourth quarter of FY 2024-25, which was Rs 18,505.1 crore in the same period a year ago. In the March quarter, IndiGo’s passenger ticket revenue rose by 25.4 percent to Rs 195,673 million and auxiliary revenue increased by 25.2 percent to Rs 21,525 million compared to the same period a year ago.
Government’s work to decide on the renewal of lease
On the occasion of releasing the company’s financial results, IndiGo CEO Peter Alber said that the airline fully complies with all regulatory structures and regulations to operate flights with aircraft leased from Turkish Airlines and it is the government’s job to decide on the renewal of lease. The comment came under the backdrop of canceling security approval in the interest of national security for the Turkish Airport Airport Services India Private Limited by the Aviation Regulatory BCAS on 15 May, a few days ago Turkey supported Pakistan and condemned India’s attacks on terrorist camps in neighboring country. Some online travel portals and association have also issued advice for people not to go to Türkiye.
The CEO said that inspired by the strong demand for air travel and the implementation of our strategy, for the financial year ended March 2025, IndiGo recorded a healthy net profit of Rs 72,584 million. Except for the impact of foreign currency, IndiGo recorded a net profit of Rs 88,676 million, maintaining a strong performance as the previous year. For the quarter ended March 2025, IndiGo recorded a net profit of Rs 30,675 million, which is the highest benefit of the fourth quarter so far.
