The Tamil Nadu government has filed a petition in the Supreme Court against the Central Government for allegedly to hold funds under the Composite Education Scheme. According to the instructions of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin, the Tamil Nadu state has filed a petition in the Supreme Court against the Central Government under Article 131 on the Composite Education Scheme. In the petition filed by the Tamil Nadu government in the Supreme Court against the Center, a recovery of Rs 2 thousand 299 crore 30 lakh 24 thousand 769 has been appealed. Also, the payment of interest at the rate of 6% per year has been demanded on the original amount. It has also been demanded in the petition that NEP and PM Shri School Scheme is not binding on the state of Tamil Nadu, unless the state government itself implements it.

In the Supreme Court, the Tamil Nadu government has requested that “the defendant should be instructed to continue to follow and execute its instructions. The plaintiff should discharge the statutory obligation to pay the assistance of the state grant. The central government will have to pay 60% of the scheme expenditure before the start of the educational year.”

Saravanan Annadurai, spokesman of Tamil Nadu, a Tamil Nadu ruling party DMK spokesman Saravanan Annadurai, said- “The Tamil Nadu government has filed a case against the Central Government for not releasing Rs 2,291 crore to the state of Tamil Nadu under the Samagra Scheme … This amount cannot be added from the implementation of National Education Policy Scheme.
