Now registration time increased by 2025

The last date for applying under PMAY has now been extended to December 2025. This relief is for both urban and rural beneficiaries. If you have recently applied and want to know the status, now you can easily do it sitting at home online.

According to the official website of PMAY, more than 92.61 lakh houses have been built so far, which has changed the lives of millions of families.

Eligibility in PMAY

PMAY – Urban

Those who do not keep a sure house and whose income is so much, can take advantage of this scheme.

Economically weaker section (EWS): annual income up to Rs 3 lakh

Low income group (LIG): Annual income from 3 to 6 lakh rupees

Middle Income Group (MIG-I): Annual income from 6 to 9 lakh rupees

Slums: People who live in urban slums.

PMAY – Gramin

Under the Rural Scheme, families are eligible in SECC data. Those who do not have a house or have only one or two raw rooms home. Weaker sections such as SC/ST, destitute, begging, tribal groups, former bonded laborers come to this category.

Who will not get the benefit

Who has a pucca house. People who have two -wheelers, three -wheelers or four -wheelers. Apart from this, who have machinery or agricultural equipment. Those who pay income tax or professional tax. Those who have fridge, landline phone or big land.

Who will benefit people

Wage laborers, hand -run, street vendors, factory workers, migrant laborers, widow women, SC/ST/OBC and minority class people in urban areas. Rural areas include SC/ST, homeless, tribal, destitute, and extremely poor families.

PMAY – For Urban

Go to the PMAY -U website.

Click on Apply for PMAY -U 2.0.

Read the instructions and proceed.

Enter the Aadhaar number and verify from OTP.

Fill the application form and upload the documentate.

Submit the form and take out the print.

PMAY – For Gramin

Go to PMAY-G website

Fill the name and details, click on search

Choose your entry and select to register

Fill bank and other details

The rest of the process will be completed by the concerned officer
