About 10 percent of the area of this mall, ie about 3 lakh square feet, has been reserved for a global level of recreation park. SK Sayal, CEO of Bharti Real Estate, has verified this. At the same time talks are going on with international brands, although they have not directly named Universal Studios.
Preparation to become India’s largest mall
The mall is part of Bharti’s 17 million square -foot aerocity project, which is considered to be the country’s largest mix retail and commercial project. So far, construction of 6.5 million square feet is going on, in which more than Rs 6,595 crore has been invested so far. Once the project is fully operational, a rental revenue of more than Rs 5,000 crore is expected to be received every year.
Indoor entertainment sector growing rapidly in India
According to JLL’s report, the 6.6 million square feet indoor entertainment space in the country is currently spread over the centers. It is expected to increase to 11 million square feet by 2028. However, this area is still dominated by unorganized domestic players. Global brands such as Timezone, Funa, and Funtura have only 28% stake.

The Universal Studios, already present in the US, Japan, Singapore and Beijing, want to make their presence in the untouched markets like India and so far.
