The Ministry of Education has announced a summer holiday of 46 days in all government and private schools across the country from June 1 to July 16 i.e. 46 days. The purpose of this decision is to relax the children from the scorching heat, so that they can spend this time comfortably with their family. Along with the announcement of summer holidays, children as well as their parents are also feeling relieved as it is not easy to send children to school in this season.

The holiday dates can change slightly according to the rules of different states and regions, but most of the school will adopt the national guidelines set by the Ministry of Education. This means that even though the start of holidays in some states may vary, all schools will give summer holidays at the same time so that students can get the necessary rest.
In which state is the holiday starting
Every state holiday dates may be slightly different, but in most places schools will remain closed from early June to mid -July. Both government and private schools in Uttar Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Delhi-NCR and Bihar will have summer holidays for a total of 46 days from June 1 to July 16, 2025.
All schools in Maharashtra and Karnataka will be closed from May 30 to July 14. At the same time, Rajasthan will be discharged from 31 May to 15 July, which will be applicable only to government schools. Schools in West Bengal will remain closed from June 2 to July 17, there will be a few days less i.e. a total of 45 days holidays.
