A big announcement was made by BCCI regarding IPL 2025. BCCI decided to resume the current session of the Indian Premier League from 17 May at 6 venue. IPL 2025 was stopped after the match between Punjab Kings and Delhi Capitals on 8 May due to India-Pakistan tension. Now the season will start again after a gap of about 10 days. The new schedule of the 18th season of IPL has changed a lot. The first tournament final was to be played in Kolkata on 25 May, but now the title match will be played on June 3.
The change in the schedule of IPL 2025 has made skepticism to play in the remaining matches of many foreign players as the IPL was stopped due to the India-Pakistan struggle, the foreign players returned to their respective countries. Now most of these players are finding it difficult to come to India.
Big problem stood in front of RCB
In fact, from May 21, a 3 -match ODI series will be played between West Indies and Ireland, while the tour of England of West Indies is going to begin from May 29. At the same time, the final match of the World Test Championship will be played from the 11th of next month, with Australia and South Africa face to face. In such a situation, it is difficult for those foreign players to play in the remaining IPL matches, which are part of the WTC final and West Indies vs England and West Indies vs. Ireland series.
If foreign players prioritize their national team instead of IPL, then RCB may have to suffer the most. There are 6 foreign players of the RCB team who will soon be seen participating in international cricket. These include Josh Hazlewood, Lungi Angidi, Romario Shepherd, Jacob Bethel, Philip Salt and Liam Livingstone.
Josh Hazlewood and Lungi Enggidi will play the WTC final while Romario will play ODI series against Shepherd Ireland and England of West Indies. At the same time, England’s Jacob Bethel, Philip Salt and Liam Livingstone will be seen in the ODI series against the West Indies. Now it will be interesting to see how many of these players get the services of RCB in how many matches.
