The final of the World Test Championship 2025 will be played between South Africa and Australia at Lord’s ground. After this, a cycle of WTC 2025-27 will be played. Such a report has come out, which states that the final is considering hosting India and a proposal in this regard will be formally formally given.

PTI has come to know that there was a discussion in this regard during the ICC’s Center Executive Committee in Zimbabwe last month, where IPL President Arun Dhumal was present on behalf of BCCI. Former BCCI Secretary Jai Shah is the current ICC President after taking over from Greg Barkle in December 2024. A source associated with the case indicated that if India reaches the next WTC final, it would be a great opportunity for the fans.
If India does not play in the final, then there will be a lot of interest in the match between two other top teams. Apart from this, hosting the final of the ICC Test event by India during Jai Shah’s tenure will be an achievement for his career.
