IND vs AUS, 5th Test: India bowled out Australia for 181 runs in the first innings just before the tea break on the second day of the fifth and final Test cricket match in Sydney on January 4. With this, Team India managed to gain a lead of four runs over Australia on the basis of first innings. In the Sydney Test, both the teams could not touch the 200-run mark in their first innings. With this a new record was made in Sydney. This is the second time in the last 70 years of Test cricket history of Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG) that both the teams have been all out before 200 runs in the first innings of the Test. 44 years ago, such a unique incident was witnessed in Sydney when both the teams could not cross the 200-run mark in the first innings. This happened in the test match played between England and Australia in the year 1979-80. In this test match, England’s first innings was reduced to 123 runs while Australia’s team was bundled out for 145 runs in the first innings.
