Hyderabad: Muslim organizations have announced a cross-border fight against the Waqf law. AIMIM Chief Asaduddin Owaisi has also said clear and cut that Muslims will continue to protest until the law is withdrawn. Today, there is going to be a big protest against the Waqf law in Hyderabad. Prior to Protest, Owaisi has given an ultimatum to the central government. In an exclusive interview to India TV, he also attacked the Modi government fiercely. He expressed his opinion on the hearing on the Waqf law in the Supreme Court.

Asaduddin Owaisi said that when the bill was brought to the Parliament, we strongly opposed it. In the JPC meeting, opposition parties opposed 44 amendments in one voice. But the BJP has a majority and despite our opposition, the bill passed from Parliament.

‘Save the Constitution-Save Save our slogan’

Owaisi said that this bill is against the basic spirit of the Constitution. The All India Personal Law Board also protested on the same line. Owaisi said that the UPA government was also 10 years in the country and the NDA government has also been in power for more than 10 years, but it has never happened that opposition parties had voted against such a bill on such a large scale. Opposition parties opposed the Waqf Amendment Bill. It is a big message that the country has not confessed to the Waqf Amendment Bill.

Owaisi mentioned the reasons for the protest and said that the Waqf property of Muslims is being taken away. Our only slogan is that ‘Save the Constitution Save Waqf’. He said that this is a black law and the government should withdraw it. Owaisi said that the matter is in the Supreme Court and now it is to be seen how much time it takes in the Supreme Court.

We were saying from the first day not to do this

Owaisi said that we were saying from day one not to do this. The right boards of Muslims should be found under the constitution which gave the rights to Hindus, but in contrast, then the voice will be raised against it. At the same time, on the matter of finding the middle path, he said that there is no question of finding the middle way. The government did not take any opinion from any stake holders in this regard earlier. Before making the bill, the government gives notifications that people should express their opinion but nothing like this happened.

Why did not call other stake holders?

On the matter of PM Modi being in touch with the Dawoodi Bohra community for the last three years, Owaisi said that PM Modi said that he discussed the Waqf amendment bill with the head of the Dawoodi Bohra community. Then why not call other stake holders? What is the process that was given by picking and choosing?
