Veteran actress and politician Hema Malini started her Friday morning with a trip down memory lane. Hema Malini paid an emotional tribute to her ‘mother’ on her birth anniversary. Thanking her mother for shaping her career, Hema Malini wrote in an Instagram post, ‘This is the day of the year that is closest to my heart! My dear mother’s birthday whom I never fail to celebrate, thanking her for everything she has done for me. The amazing personality and the rapport she brought to me in the industry and beyond has shaped my career and made me who I am, thank you Amma, I love you.

Hema Malini has also shared some priceless pictures of her mother Jaya Chakraborty. One of the photos perfectly captured the adorable bond of the mother and daughter. In response to Hema’s post, her daughter and actor Esha Deol added a heart and folded hands emoji. Hema Malini started her acting career in 1963 with the Tamil film Idhu Saathiyam and then entered Hindi cinema in 1968 with the film Sapno Ka Saudagar. She was last seen in Shimla Mirchi (2020) starring Rajkummar Rao and Rakul Preet Singh. She is currently representing Mathura as a Lok Sabha member from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
Her mother Jaya Chakraborty was a producer and costume designer. Hema never misses any opportunity to express her gratitude towards her ‘Amma’. Last year also he had written a beautiful note on his mother’s birthday. In which Hema had said, ‘Today is a very special day for me! It is my dear mother’s birthday, I celebrate it every year since she left me.
