Before the beginning of the Indian Premier League i.e. IPL 2025 season, there has been a good news for the Lucknow Super Jants team, but with that they have also received a shock. On the one hand, while many foreign players will not be seen playing this time before the start of the 18th season of IPL, the part of the Lucknow Super Jants team, Australian T20 captain and Dhakad all -rounder Mitchell Marsh was declared perfectly fit to play this season. In the recently ended Champions Trophy 2025, Marsh was not a part of the squad due to lower back pain, while Marsh could not play due to this injury even on the Sri Lanka tour.

Will be seen playing as a batsman in IPL

Mitchell Marsh was scheduled to play in IPL 2025, which is definitely a relief news for Lucknow Super Jants team captain Rishabh Pant, but he will be seen playing as a batsman, in which he will not bowl this season. Marsh is expected to join the Lucknow team by next week. Marsh played his previous match in Profession Cricket on 7 January in the Big Bash League in which he came out to play for Perth Scormers. Marsh was part of the Delhi Capitals team in the last three seasons of the IPL but during this time he was seen struggling with the problem of injury. After playing just four matches last season, Marsh had to face the problem of hamstring due to which he left for Australia. Earlier, Marsh has been part of Sunrisers Hyderabad, Rising Pune Super Janents, Pune Warriors and Deccan Chargers team in the IPL.

Lucknow has to play his first match against Delhi

In IPL 2024, Lucknow Super Gynts will take the field to play under the leadership of new captain Rishabh Pant, in which many new players will also be seen in the team. The Lucknow Super Gynts will begin their campaign on March 24 with a match against Delhi Capitals, in which the match between the two teams will be played on the grounds of Visakhapatnam. Lucknow’s team will play their first match against the Punjab Kings team on April 1 at the Home Ground.
