The Jury of the Sydney District Court has declared the 54 -year -old leg -spinner innocent in April 2021 in the case of joining a one kilo cocaine deal worth 330000 Australian dollars. Drug merchant introduced to close relatives in restaurant
According to the Australian media report, Stuart McGil did not have much expressions on the face at the time of the verdict. It was told in the court that McGil introduced his regular drug merchant to his close relative Marino Sotiropolos to his restaurant in Sydney. McGil said that he was not aware of the deal but the prosecutors claimed that the deal was not possible without their participation.

Stuart McGill made his Test debut in 1998 for Australia. He then took a total of 208 wickets in 44 Tests for the Australian team. Apart from this, he has 6 wickets in three ODIs. For Australia, he played the last Test match against the West Indies in 2008.
