Acme solar Focusing on Hybrid and 24-hour renewable energy capacity in the financial year 2025-26 starting from 1 April, has planned to invest Rs 17,000 crore on CAPECELs (Capital Expenditure). ACME Solar said in a statement on Sunday that the company is also exploring possibilities of entering the nuclear power sector. However, these schemes are currently at the ‘drawing board’ level. According to the statement, ACME Solar Holdings have planned to invest Rs 17,000 crore to bring renewable energy capacity to 5 GW by 2027.
The company wants to 3 times its abilities by 2028
As a comprehensive strategy, the ACME solar aims to 3 times its existing renewable capacity by 2028 to 7 gigawatts. Nikhil Dhingra, CEO of ACME Solar Nikhil Dhingra said, “We intend to focus on our new capabilities on revenue and margin -enhancing hybrids and FDREs (firms and dispacable renewable energy) projects, which is an important axis in our business strategy.”
FDRE projects ensure supply of green energy
Integrated renewable energy projects with energy storage systems are called FDRE projects. Such projects ensure supply of green energy at all times and resolve challenges related to variable renewable energy production.
As of December 2024, 6,970 MW was ACME Solar portfolio
The company’s CEO Nikhil Dhingra said that ACME Solar is planning to start its capacity in two different stages starting from April this year. The portfolio of ACME Solar was 6,970 MW till the current financial year (2024–25) period (till December 2024). It was already operational 2,540 MW and had 4,430 MW under construction projects, with 49 percent focused on hybrid and FDRE projects.
