The Congress-ruled Karnataka government has declared 7-day state mourning and December 27 as a public holiday in honor of the former prime minister. Chief Minister Siddaramaiah’s office issued a statement in this regard. All government offices and banks in the state will remain closed on this day.
Telangana:
The Telangana government has also declared 7 days of mourning and a government holiday on 27 December. Congress Telangana unit said on social media that all government offices and educational institutions in the state will remain closed on this day.
