Maha kumbh mela 2025 news: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath reached Prayagraj on Thursday (27 February) after the conclusion of Mahakumbh, which lasted for 45 days. During this, CM Yogi announced a bonus of Rs 10,000 to the sanitation workers and health workers engaged in Mahakumbh. He also said that the UP government is going to ensure that from April, a minimum salary of Rs 16,000 will be given to the cleaning workers. During this time, Yogi cleaned the cleaning workers at Arail Ghat in Mahakumbh Nagar. Also performed shramdaan with ministers on the banks of the Ganges. The CM along with other ministers had lunch with the cleaning staff.
Chief Minister Yogi announced an additional bonus of Rs 10,000 for every cleanliness worker working in Mahakumbh after meals. He also said that a corporation will be set up to pay for sanitation workers. It will pay a salary of Rs 16,000 per month to each sanitation worker from April.
He said, “Not only the scavengers, but also health workers will be linked to this system. Apart from this, health workers, cleaning workers and other employees will be given the benefit of health insurance up to five lakh rupees.”
Chief Minister Adityanath, while addressing a program organized to honor cleanliness and health workers, said, “66 crore 30 lakh devotees came to Mahakumbh, in which no incident of kidnapping, robbery, molestation and rape took place.”
Attack on opposition
CM Yogi said, “There has been no such incident that could also get the opponents to find binoculars and microscope. Opponents did not miss any opportunity for propaganda. Those who did not like this Mahasamagam of faith. They did not miss any chance.” The Chief Minister said, “Eight crore devotees were here on Mauni Amavasya. Our priority was to take these devotees to their destinations by taking a safe bath. But the opponents and opposition were constantly propagating and using the language of humiliation.”
He said, “Someone was defaming Prayagraj by showing a scene of Cairo incident. A tragic incident occurred on the night of 28-29 January on Mauni Amavasya. We have a condolences to the families of all those people. But there were conspiracies to discredit the incident of Cairo and Kathmandu by linking it to Prayagraj.” The Chief Minister said, “I think Janata Janardan rejected them from one end and came to Prayagraj Mahakumbh and proved that you will not come in your propaganda.”

CM Yogi said, “All the departments of the government worked to make this event grand and successful by organizing the event to make this event grand and successful and only then such a large number of devotees could become a part of the event.” He said that Maharishi Ved Vyas had said 5,000 years ago that if you follow the path of religion, it will fulfill the meaning and wishes. The residents of Prayagraj proved this voice of Ved Vyas to be true.
He said, “The pagoda park in the Prayagraj Municipal Corporation was built and made many times more profits from the investment made in it. The event was completed and now cleanliness has to be taken to the new peak. I started a cleanliness campaign today and would like it all join it and the next 15 days will have to be gathered in it and the fair area will have to be cleaned.”
‘Earlier governments did not respect faith’
Chief Minister Adityanath said, “Earlier governments did not give respect and importance to India’s faith. Is Prayagraj, what Kashi, Kya Ayodhya, Kya Mathura Vrindavan, Kya Chitrakoot. The basis of faith and meaning in these places is amazing. We thank the Prime Minister who has shown a new path to India.”
Yogi Adityanath said, “During Mahakumbh, Kashi Vishwanath and Vindhyavasini were made a circuit and the second circuit of Ayodhya and Gorakhpur became the third circuit of Lucknow and Naimisharanya via Shringwarpur to Shringwarpur. The fourth circuit became the fourth circuit from Prayagraj to Lalpur-Rajapur and Chitrakut.

Center gave significant contribution
CM Yogi said that the departments of the Government of India contributed significantly in bringing Mahakumbh to new heights. At the same time, the residents of Prayagraj considered this event to be their home event. People of Uttar Pradesh greeted devotees and revered saints everywhere. The Chief Minister honored the cleanliness personnel in the program and provided them with kits and insurance certificates. He also released the coffee table book prepared by the tourism department on Mahakumbh.
