Now Varun Dhawan’s film ‘Baby John’, released at the end of the year, has also broken the expectations. Made at a huge cost of Rs 160 crore, this film has been able to collect only Rs 19 crore in 3 days. The hit formula of South and Bollywood pairings which has been going on for the past few days has now failed miserably. Along with Varun Dhawan, South heroines Kirtik Suresh and Vamika Gabbi have also not been able to show any special magic at the box office of the film.

Let us tell you that Varun Dhawan starrer film ‘Baby John’ was the Hindi remake of South film ‘Theri’. Theri was made by South director Atlee. But Baby John has been produced by Atlee and a director named Kalis has made the film. However, the collection of this film made with a big budget of Rs 160 crore has been disappointing. The film had an opening of Rs 11.25 crore on the first day. After this, it earned Rs 4.75 crore on the second day. The film has earned only Rs 3.65 crore on the third day. The film’s collection in India has crossed Rs 19 crore and worldwide has crossed Rs 23 crore. However, the film has not yet shown its roar at the box office.
South-Bollywood’s hit formula did not work?
Let us tell you that for some time now, the formula of earning at the box office by making films with South and Bollywood stars had become quite solid. Due to which South superstar Junior NTR made the film ‘Devra’ with Bollywood stars Jhanvi Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan. This film was a hit at the box office. Along with this, many such films were made where stars from South and Bollywood were made and the film was a hit. But this formula did not work for Baby John. Also, one more reason was given behind this film being a flop. That is the South version of this film. Thalapathy Vijay played the lead role in the South version of this film ‘Theri’. This was the Hindi remake of the film Theri. But the Hindi dubbed version of Theri is available for free on YouTube. Due to which the film has suffered a lot of loss.
