Share market today: The Sensex and Nifty closed for the third consecutive day on 20 February. But small and medium shares saw a huge shopping at the lower level today. The BSE midcap index rose 1.18 per cent and the Smallcap index by 1.32 per cent. Due to this, the assets of the stock market investors increased by more than Rs 3 lakh crore today. There was a mixed trend on the sectoral index front. The Nifty Bank and Nifty Private Bank declined by more than half a percent. However, on the other hand, oil and gas, auto, metal, realty and PSU bank shares rose and all closed up more than 1 percent.

At the end of the trading, the BSE Sensex closed at 75,735.96 points, declining 203.22 points or 0.27 per cent. At the same time, the NSE’s 50 -share index, Nifty closed at 19.75 points or 0.086 per cent to close at 22,913.15.

Investors earned ₹ 3.09 lakh crore

The total market capitalization of listed companies in BSE rose to Rs 404.87 lakh crore on February 20, which was Rs 401.78 lakh crore on its previous trading day i.e. Wednesday, February 19. In this way, the market cap of listed companies in BSE has increased by about Rs 3.09 lakh crore today. Or in other words, the property of investors has increased by about Rs 3.09 lakh crore.

13 out of 30 shares of BSE Sensex closed with an increase in green mark today. This led to the highest number of NTPC shares of 3.32 per cent. After this, the shares of Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M), Adani Ports, Tata Steel and Tata Motors closed with a gain of 1.33 per cent to 3.01 per cent.

At the same time, the remaining 17 shares of the Sensex closed down today. In this too, HDFC Bank’s share was down 2.35 per cent to the top losets. At the same time, shares of Maruti Suzuki, Tech Mahindra, HCL Tech and ITC saw a drop ranging from 1.06 percent to 1.81%.

2,669 shares rise

The number of shares closed with an edge on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) today was more. A total of 4,053 shares on the exchange were seen today. Out of this, 2,669 shares closed up rapidly. At the same time, 1,273 shares saw a decline. While 111 shares were closed flat without any fluctuations. Apart from this, 56 shares touched their new 52-vende high during trading today. At the same time, 155 shares touched a new lower level of 52-weeks.
