Shivamogga: A surprising video is coming out from Karnataka. In the video, two women are seen stealing gold chains from a jewelery shop. During the theft, both would not have been aware that the video was imprisoned in CCTV while stealing them. The police have taken action and arrested both women. Everyone is surprised to see how someone can dare to steal openly.

The case is about stealing gold jewelery from a jewelery shop in Shivamogga district. Police arrested two women wearing two burqas on charges of theft. Actually, it is clear in the video that both women are looking at the jewelery box on the pretext of watching the chain. Meanwhile, both the people working in the shop are also confused in talks, and in the meantime the other woman replaces a fake chain with an original chain and hides the real chain of gold in her burqa sleeve.

How these women were caught?

These women had cleverly replaced the real chain with a fake chain, but every chain of the shop has a computerized tag, but this woman was written with hand in the chain that changed. After their departure, when the shopkeeper’s eyes fell on the tag written by hand, there was suspicion that the CCTV footage was checked immediately, the story came out. After this, when these two women were trying to sell the chain, the police were alerted and both of them were caught.

Shop mistress conducted FIR

When Kiran Shah, the mistress of Shah Sadaji Sogmal Ji Jewelers of Gandhi Bazar, came to know that the women had exchange of real jewelery instead of fake gold jewelery, they lodged a complaint at the Fort Police Station. The incident occurred on the afternoon of 18 February 2025, when two burkadhari women entered the shop and asked to show a gold chain weighing 15-20 grams.

Employees showed them gold jewelery worth Rs 1.12 lakh. However, women secretly replaced the real gold chain with fake and hid the real jewelery into the sleeve of the burqa. The entire action was captured in the CCTV camera of the shop.
