RTI activist Snehamoyi Krishna has made serious allegations against the Siddaramaiah government.
Bengaluru: RTI activist Snehamoyi Krishna has written a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah, appealing for immediate security assistance from the Centre. He has said in his letter that the Karnataka government has allegedly refused to provide security to him and his family. Let us tell you that a case was registered in MUDA scam only on the complaint of Krishna. In his letter, Krishna said he had filed a complaint regarding illegal allotment of 14 plots under Mysore Urban Development Authority (MUDA) in the name of Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah’s wife Parvati, other leaders and influential people.
‘Many false FIRs have been registered against me’
“Despite my efforts to lodge a complaint with the concerned authorities, they refused to take action,” Krishna said in his letter dated December 26. As a result, I approached the court and filed a private complaint. After reviewing my complaint and supporting documents, the court directed Lokayukta officials to investigate. After this, an FIR was registered in the case, in which Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah was made accused number one. The RTI activist alleged that due to the exposure of this scam, several false FIRs were registered against him and attempts were made to put him in jail.
‘They are asking to give money instead of withdrawing the case’
Krishna has told that the first FIR was registered at Nanjanagudu Town Police Station, after which cases were also registered at Devaraj Police Station and Krishnaraja Police Station. He alleged, ‘They are trying to put pressure on me and are asking me to give money in return for withdrawing the case. Despite this, I am determined to continue the fight. Now, they are threatening me and my family. Krishna said that on August 18, 2024, he had given an application to the Mysore Police Commissioner seeking to provide a ‘gunman’, but he rejected it.
‘The state government is refusing to provide me security’
Krishna said that the state president of BJP along with many NGOs and organizations also appealed to the DGP of Karnataka for security, but it was rejected. The RTI activist said, ‘Since I am fighting against the CM and other influential persons, the state government is denying me security. This shows that government officials, under the influence of the CM, are trying to hinder my efforts. It seems that it is risky for me and my family to depend on the protection of the state government. Therefore, I request that the Central Government provide security to protect my life and ensure the well-being of my family. (Language)
