Share market today: The decline in Indian stock markets returned a day later on 18 February. The Sensex and Nifty fluctuated with a slight decline after the ups and downs. However, small and medium stocks saw heavy selling. The BSE midcap index fell 0.19 per cent and the Smallcap index 1.71 per cent. Due to this, about 2.51 lakh crore rupees of investors were drowned in the stock market today. The most decline was seen in industrials, telecom and consumer durables shares. On the other hand, utility, IT, oil and gas and power stocks saw a boom.

At the end of the trading, the BSE Sensex closed at 75,967.39 points, declining 29.47 points or 0.039 per cent. At the same time, the NSE’s 50 -share index, Nifty fell at 14.20 points or 0.062 per cent to close at 22,945.30.

₹ 2.51 lakh crore of investors drowned

The total market capitalization of listed companies in BSE came down to Rs 397.81 lakh crore on February 18, which was Rs 400.32 lakh crore on its previous business day i.e. Monday 17 February. In this way, the market cap of listed companies in BSE has reduced by about 2.5 lakh crore rupees today. Or in other words, the assets of investors have fallen by about Rs 2.5 lakh crore.

15 out of 30 shares of BSE Sensex closed with an increase in green mark today. This led to the highest number of NTPC shares of 2.94 per cent. After this, the shares of Zomato, Tech Mahindra, Power Grid and Kotak Mahindra Bank closed with a gain of 0.98 per cent to 2.15 per cent.

At the same time, the remaining 15 shares of the Sensex closed down today. In this too, the share of IndusInd Bank declined by 2.38 per cent to the top losis. At the same time, shares of Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), Hindustan Unilever (HUL), Ultratech Cement (Ultratech Cement) and Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M) saw a decline of 0.87 percent to 1.87%.

2,914 shares declined

The number of shares shut down on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) today was high. A total of 4,064 shares on the exchange were seen today. Out of this, 1,037 shares closed up rapidly. At the same time, 2,914 shares saw a decline. While 113 shares were closed flat without any fluctuations. Apart from this, 51 shares touched their new 52-whee high during trading today. At the same time, 787 shares touched a new lower level of 52-weeks.
