Tata Group’s airline company Air India’s subsidiary Air India Express is going to start flights from Kolkata Airport and Hindon Airport in Ghaziabad district of Uttar Pradesh from March 1. These flight service between the two cities will benefit a large number of passengers. According to PTI news, the airline spokesperson says Hindon’s flight from Kolkata will operate everyday, while Kolkata flights from Hindon will operate six days a week except Saturday.

According to the news, the flights will fly from Kolkata at 7.10 am and reach Hindon daily at 9.30 am, while the return flights will leave from Hindon Airport at 5.20 pm and reach Kolkata at 7.40 pm. The airline spokesman said that from Hindon Airport to Central and East Delhi, Noida and surrounding areas like Akshardham, Anand Vihar, Parliament Street and Central Secretariat, Chandni Chowk, Connaught Place, Indirapuram, Karol Bagh, Vaishali and surrounding areas Convenient options are expected to be available for passengers.
Air India Express will be the first airline
According to the airline, Jet Engine from Air India Express Hindon Airport will be the first airline to operate with airline and Kolkata will be the first location to join the big aircraft. According to sources, at present, small airlines operate on small routes from Hindon. With this expansion, Air India Express will operate from two airports – Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi and Hindon Airport in Ghaziabad in Delhi. The flights between Kolkata and Hindon were to begin from August 2024, but were postponed.
Airline connects with 14 direct destination
Air India Express, 14 from Kolkata, including Hindon, connect with Direct Destination. Some major destinations are Bagdogra, Bengaluru, Bhubaneswar, Chennai, Guwahati and Hyderabad. Apart from joining Kolkata, the airline also plans to connect Goa and Bengaluru to Hindon, which will have six daily flights from each destination. Hindon Airport ensures quick access to major areas of the National Capital Region for those flying from Bengaluru, Goa and Kolkata. This will make air travel accessible to wide population, especially for interested travelers from western Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand, including cities like Bareilly, Bijnor, Dehradun, Haridwar, Hapur, Meerut, Moradabad, Mussoorie, Muzaffarnagar, Rampur and Saharanpur Are.
