The Trump administration in the US has banned the dismissal of hundreds of employees of the National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA), the country’s nuclear weapon department. Earlier, Ilon Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) had trimmed around 350 people from this department on Thursday.
The purpose of this trimming was to cut government spending. Experts had expressed apprehension that this decision could threaten the security of the country. After which Trump overturned the decision of Musk’s department in 24 hours.
According to the express US, NNSA employees play an important role in designing, destroying American nuclear weapons, giving nuclear reactors to submarines and dealing with nuclear emergency conditions.
These also included employees to reassain nuclear weapons, which is considered one of the most sensitive works in the nuclear vapan industry.

NNSA director Teresa Robins issued an order to cancel the dismissal of all the employees except 28 on Friday. The order said that the decision of the dismissal issued to you on February 13, 2025 has been canceled with immediate effect.
