National Games 2025: The National Games 2025 closing ceremony took place in Haldwani, Uttarakhand. A total of more than 16000 athletes from across the country participated in the 38th National Games. Cultural programs were presented at the closing ceremony. Where Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami welcomed Home Minister Amit Shah with a memento, a shawl and a bouquet of flowers. He was accompanied by Sports Minister Mansukh Mandavia, Meghale Chief Minister Conord Sangma and President of Indian Olympic Association PT Usha on the stage.
Uttarakhand has become sports land: Amit Shah
Home Minister Amit Shah said that after the National Games, Uttarakhand has become a sports land after Devbhoomi. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has developed infrastructure for sports in every district of the state. He has provided all the facilities to the players.
Do not lose in the game: Mansukh Mandavia
Sports Minister Mansukh Mandavia said at the closing ceremony that the Chief Minister of Uttarakhand took care of small things of every players. Country became the hub of sports in the coming days. We have to try for this. Never lose in sports either win or learn. The medal is not only your pride but the pride of the country and the state.
This is the beginning of becoming a sports center of India. The venue has a capacity of 25,000 and was packed for the ceremony. It is the beginning of joining India’s top-10 Olympic protesters by 2036. There is now a sports ecosystem in the country. It is moving forward in every aspect including sports.
Attempted to reduce plastic throughout the event: Pushkar Singh Dhami
Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami praised the country’s Home Minister Amit Shah for removing Section 370 from Jammu and Kashmir. He said that with his cooperation, we have been able to implement the UCC in Uttarakhand. He said that we tried to reduce plastic with the entire event.
Services ranked first in winning medal
Traditional Powerhouse Services Services Control Board topped the medal for the fifth time with a total of 121 medals (68 gold, 26 silver, 27 bronze) in the last six games. Maharashtra won more medals than services with 198 (54 gold, 71 silver, 73 bronze) but finished second due to low gold calculations. Even Haryana got more medals than services with 153 (48 gold, 47 silver, 58 bronze), but had to be satisfied with third place. Host Uttarakhand finished seventh with a total of 103 medals including 24 gold, 35 silver and 44 bronze.
