Government will close sim card: The state government and telecom companies are constantly making efforts with the central government to prevent online fraud and curb it. Meanwhile, there is big news for mobile users of Bihar state. Actually, the SIM card of millions of people in Bihar is on the verge of closure. Instructions have been given by the telecom ministry to block SIM card blocks of such people who have more than 9 SIM cards.
According to the ET report, there are currently about 27 lakh people in Bihar whose names are running more than 9 SIM cards. If you also have more than 9 SIM cards then you need to be alert. It is being told that these numbers have been identified by telecom depositment.
Users will have to do this work
Those who have more than 9 SIM cards have currently been given 90 days time. Users will have to tell the telecom company within 90 days which numbers they want to keep active. If users do not give information to the telecom department about the numbers keeping active, then the company will close the numbers after 9 SIM cards in a random manner. Some such reports have also come out that there are some people in whose name more than 100-200 SIM cards are active.
Let us tell you that in the recent past, cases of cybercrime have increased rapidly. This step has now been taken in view of the continuous increasing cyber fraud case. Until a few years ago, there was no bond of any kind on buying a SIM card. No one could buy any SIM card but, now it is not so at all. Any users can keep only 9 SIM cards active on an ID.
SIM card of 24 lakh private companies
It is being told that out of 27 lakh numbers which have been selected to block, about 24 lakh SIM cards are from private companies. At the same time, the number of SIM cards of the government company i.e. BSNL is about 3 lakhs. All private and government companies have been told about this action, now companies will have to inform their customers about it.
