Traffic advisory issued for Magh bath in Mahakumbh
Prayagraj: The process of devotees coming from every corner of the country continues in Mahakumbh. There will be a holy bath in Mahakumbh on February 12, 2025 on the Avasapar of Magh Purnima, in which a large number of people are reaching Prayagraj to attend. Prior to February 12, traffic advisory has been issued to run traffic smoothly in Prayagraj. This day is considered highly auspicious to take a holy bath (bath) at the confluence during Mahakumbh and that is why the administration is committed to handle the crowds that gathered in it.
Know the special time of Magh Purnima
The full moon (full moon) will start on February 11 at 6:55 pm and end on February 12 at 7:22 pm. Fasting and rituals will be held on 12 February.
Traffic counseling issued
The city has been facing heavy traffic jams from 8 February due to a large number of devotees coming to Prayagraj. Passengers are suffering inconvenience due to long traffic jams. To handle this situation, the authorities have declared a ‘no vehicle zone’ in the fair area from 4:00 am on February 11.
Vehicles will be transported to specified parking areas and only emergency and essential service vehicles will be allowed.
Also, ‘No Vehicle Zone’ will expand in the entire Prayagraj city from 5 pm on 11 February. The ban will remain till the end of Magh Purnima bath on 12 February.
At the same time, roads leading from Madhya Pradesh to Prayagraj have been closed, including Katni, Maihar and highways of Jabalpur. Due to this, there has been traffic jam in these areas. Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has instructed the officials to help the passengers stuck in traffic.

Prayagraj Sangam railway station temporarily closed
Prayagraj Sangam railway station has been temporarily closed due to congestion, although the movement of trains at Prayagraj Junction will continue smoothly. Passengers are being sent to Prayagraj Junction. Railway officials have assured that Prayagraj Sangam railway station will be reopened if the crowd is reduced.
Traffic police statement
Traffic ADCP Kuldeep Singh said that the increasing number of vehicles and people is similar to the crowd seen during Mauni Amavasya. The parking area is already filled with 50%, and there are queues of vehicles at both near and nearby places.

The Mahakumbh administration said that since the fair started on 13 January, more than 43.57 crore devotees have taken a holy dip in the Sangam. This number is increasing with coming close to Magh Purnima.
