IND vs Eng, 3rd ODI: India’s young opener Shubman Gill has scored a brilliant century at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Gill completed his 7th ODI century off just 95 balls. He hit hundreds with the help of 14 fours and 2 sixes. Along with this, he did the feat of scoring a third consecutive 50+ score in the 3 -match ODI series against England. The young opener was just 13 runs away from his century in the first match of the ODI series played against England in Nagpur. After this, his bat in Cuttack came to an innings of 60 runs and made a big record in the third consecutive match of the series. Gill became the 7th batsman of India to score 50+ in every match of the 3 -match ODI series. Prior to Gill, Chris Srikanth, Dilip Vengsarkar, Mohammad Azharuddin, MS Dhoni, Shreyas Iyer and Ishan Kishan did this big act in ODIs.

With this, Gill demolished the world record of scoring the fastest 2500 runs in the history of ODI cricket. This world record was earlier named after Hashim Amla. Amla did wonders to score 2500 runs in 51 ODI innings. Now this world is recorded in the name of Gill. Shubman Gill has scored 2575 runs in 50 matches in ODIs for India at an average of more than 61. It includes 7 centuries and 15 centuries.
