Shubman Gill scored a strong century
In the third ODI against England, Shubman Gill batted well from the beginning of the innings. He scored 112 runs in 102 balls, including 14 fours and three sixes. He scored a total seventh century of his ODI career. The special thing is that this was the 50th ODI match of Gill’s ODI career and he became the first Indian to score a century in his 50th ODI. No such Indian batsman could do before him.
Dual centuries have been scored for Indian team
Shubman Gill made his ODI cricket debut in 2020 for the Indian team. Since then, he became an important link for Team India’s batting order. He also scored a double century in the ODI against New Zealand in 2023. After this, there are continuous part of Team India. He has so far scored a total of 2587 runs in 50 ODIs for Team India, with 7 centuries and 15 half -centuries from his bat.
Shikhar Dhawan’s record broke
Shubman Gill is also the batsman to score the fastest 2500 runs in the history of ODI cricket. He has also done the same in 50 innings. Apart from this, Gill is also the least Indian batsman to score 7 ODI centuries. He has broken Shikhar Dhawan’s record. Dhawan scored 7 centuries in 54 ODI innings.
