The Champions Trophy 2025 is going to start from February 19, in which only a few days are left. But till now no big update has been revealed about Jasprit Bumrah’s fitness. Bumrah’s fifth Test against Australia in Sydney in January stretched back muscles and did not bowl in the second innings. He has not bowled for India since then, although he has been included in the Indian team for the Champions Trophy, but it is not yet clear how long he will fit to bowl. There is still uncertainty about his fitness.
Champions Trophy’s vomiting count begins
Let me tell you, the final decision on the participation of Jaspreet Bumrah in the Bharat Champions Trophy will take on 11 February, which is the last date to hand over the ICC for the Champions Trophy for the Champions Trophy. In such a situation, fans are expecting positive updates from BCCI. Bumrah is currently going through the process of rehabilitation at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) and is not in the ODI team for the three -match series against England. BCCI is expected to update their fitness from the Sports Scientist Specialist after which a decision will be taken on the Champions Trophy which will be held in Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates (UAE). The first match of the Champions Trophy is to be held in Karachi on 19 February while India will play all their matches in Dubai. India and Pakistan will clash in Dubai on 23 February.
Doubt on playing Bumrah
According to a report by ESPNcricinfo, Bumrah recently scanned his back at BCCI’s Center of Excellence in Bengaluru. BCCI’s medical staff will now coordinate with the selectors and the Indian team management and then a decision will be taken. If Bumrah is out of the Champions Trophy due to unfit, Harshit Rana can be included in the team. Harshit played the first two ODIs against England and now the third and last match of the series will be played on 12 February at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
