Russia has condemned any speculation regarding the plane crash in Kazakhstan. In fact, it is suspected that Russia was involved in the plane crash.
An Azerbaijani plane Embraer 190 crashed on December 25 at around 12:30 in Aktau, Kazakhstan. 38 people died in this accident.
Initial investigation after the crash revealed that the plane crashed due to collision with a flock of birds. However, it was later reported that the accident occurred due to a blast in the oxygen tank.
However, in some media reports, claims have also been made that the plane was attacked on the Russian side due to which it crashed. Currently, Kazakhstan authorities have recovered the flight’s data recorder and are looking for the cause of the crash.
Meanwhile, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Thursday that one should stay away from speculation until a complete investigation into the plane crash is conducted. Neither do we do this nor should anyone else do this.

Why is Russia being accused of crashing the plane?
A video after the plane crash is going viral on social media. It is shown that there are marks like shrapnel of bullets in some parts of the plane. There is speculation that Russia’s air defense system might have mistook the plane for a drone and attacked it.
Russian military blogger Yuri Podolnyaka told news agency AFP that the holes seen in the plane’s wreckage could have been caused by an anti-aircraft missile system. He said the damage suggests the plane may have accidentally hit an air defense missile system.
Defense expert James J Marlow wrote on social media that he had received information that Russian defense systems were intercepting Ukrainian drones in Grozny when this incident occurred. If this is true then it is possible that the defense system might have considered the plane to be a drone and attacked it by mistake.
Russia accused of jamming the plane’s GPS
Flightradar24, a website that provides information related to plane tracking, has made a separate claim about the plane that its GPS was jammed before the accident. Flightradar has also shared a graph related to the plane. The GPS jamming of the plane is also being linked to Russia. In fact, Russia has already been accused of failing GPS transmission.
Azerbaijan President cancels Russia visit
After the accident, Azerbaijan’s President Ilham Aliyev canceled his visit to Russia. He was to go to Moscow on 26 October to participate in a summit. Different meanings are being derived from this also.
President Aliyev has declared Thursday a day of mourning. He has ordered to investigate the plane crash as soon as possible. He also said that there are many theories going on regarding the plane crash, it is too early to discuss them. This should be investigated properly.
Know the crashed plane Embraer 190…
The Embraer 190 is a twin jet engine aircraft. It is used for regional air connectivity i.e. it is used for short distances. This narrow body aircraft was launched in 2004. Its commercial flights started in the next year i.e. 2005.
According to different seating arrangements, 90 to 98 people including passengers and crew members can travel in it. This aircraft is single-aisle, that is, it has seats on both sides and a gallery in the middle. The Embraer 190 jet is equipped with two turbofan engines, due to which it can cover a distance of as long as 4000 KM.
