Bajaj Auto Executive Director Rakesh Sharma told the analysts that the company is expected to get regulatory approval for its e-rickshaw till the end of the current quarter, which will enable it to enter the area.
Preparation to launch this finance till the end of this finance
Sharma said, “Our intention is to introduce a modern ‘e-rickshaw’ until the end of this financial year, which will set a completely new standard in this section and provide high level of satisfaction to both the owners and the passengers.” The e-rickshaw section is as large as the three-wheeler section and a new e-rickshaw should produce a new business. When asked about the deadline, Sharma said, “We are expected to introduce e-rickshaws until the end of this quarter, ie on the current financial year.” By that time, we will get all the necessary approvals for this. Or maybe it came by the first week of April. Retail sales can begin by the first week of April or by the end of March. ”
Sales increased by seven percent to 3,81,040 units
Bajaj Auto’s total sales, including exports in January, rose by seven percent to 3,81,040 units on an annual basis. According to a statement issued by Bajaj Auto Limited, the company sold a total of 3,56,010 vehicles in January 2024. The total domestic sales, including commercial vehicles of the motor vehicle manufacturer, fell nine percent to 2,08,359 units last month, in January 2024, 2,30,043 units. The company said, “The total exports increased by 37 percent to 1,72,681 vehicles in the month under review, while it was 1,25,967 units in January 2024.
