Normal life was affected by the mercury going down to zero degree Celsius for a second time in a month in the city of Udhagamandalam (first Ooty) in Tamil Nadu. Officials, citing the latest meteorological data, said that Udi, known as Ooty, recorded zero degrees in Udhagamandalam and Sandalla. He said that a slight layer of snow was seen in many parts of the surrounding areas including Udhagamandalam and Kanthal and Thalakuntha.
Water kept in containers
Due to the fall of the temperature in Udhagamandalam, the cars parked in the open covered with snow, the water kept in the containers froze. People were seen removing ice from the windshield of their four -wheelers. Normal life was affected by the severe cold. The roads of Udhagamandalam looked deserted and very few vehicles were seen on the streets and people limited themselves inside the houses.
People came to the cities baked bonfire
On Friday morning, people were seen baking bonfire to keep themselves warm in many places. Even in the beginning of January this year, the temperature in the mercury zero and nearby sects had gone down to zero to two degrees Celsius, then a similar seasonal situation was seen.
