Panaji: Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant on Thursday flagged off a special train to the devotees to Prayagraj at Karmali railway station near Panaji. The Government of Goa has announced three special trains to facilitate free travel to Prayagraj to attend the Mahakumbh Mela to the devotees of the state. Sawant sent the first special train to take around 1,000 devotees to Prayagraj from Karmali station.
Thoughts to provide free travel facilities and running trains
During this, Sawant told that the remaining two trains will leave for Prayagraj from Goa on 13 and 21 February. He said that as the demand increases, the government can consider running and running the train to provide free travel to Prayagraj to the devotees. Sawant said that the state government will also provide food to the devotees traveling in the train. He said that devotees will get a chance to spend 24 hours in Mahakumbh, after which they will have to take a return train from Prayagraj. These special trains in Goa are being operated under Mukhyamantri Dev Darshan Yojana. People between the ages of 18 and 60, who have no serious health problems, can do free pilgrimage under this scheme.

Sawant congratulated Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath for hosting a historic event like Mahakumbh. He said that the devotees were eager to go to Prayagraj, so the Goa government decided to provide free rail travel.
Congratulating the Chief Minister of UP, Sawant said, “CM Yoji has organized such a big event that 40 crore people are going to Mahakumbh. Organizing for so many people, making so much arrangement is not a small matter, but they organized this very well. I wish the people of Goa and the government on behalf of the government. ”
