The Andhra Pradesh unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Thursday called Tirumala a ‘spiritual center of Hindus’ and demanded the removal of about 1,000 employees of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) from the services of the temple board, whose non-Hindus There is a suspicion of following religion. BJP’s state unit spokesperson and TTD member Bhanu Prakash Reddy said that the representatives of the board will soon meet Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and request that non-Hindus do not require services. “TTD has more than 6,500 permanent employees and more than 17,000 contracted employees in TTD, causing a total number of employees to about 24,000.”

BJP leader made this demand

He said, “I have received information that more than a thousand employees follow non-Hindu religion and that is why we are taking a tough stand on this matter. On February 14, we will meet Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and request that Non-Hindu employees should not be made part of TTD. ” Reddy said on the disciplinary action of TTD against 18 non-Hindu employees that two of them are ‘actually’ Hindus, so the authorities are requested to re-examine their certificates. That non-Hindu employees get salary from TTD but they do not accept the offerings of Shri Venkateswara Swami (holy offerings) that the rituals of the temple can be done only by Hindus and all the employees should be Hindus. .

Demand made after action on 18 non -Hindu employees

TTD recently issued an official memorandum and stopped 18 employees from participating in all religious and spiritual activities of the temple body under disciplinary action to allegedly involve non-Hindu activities. On the other hand, Yuvjan Shramik Raithu Congress Party (YSRCP) chief Jagan Mohan Reddy refused to comment on the decision to initiate disciplinary action against 18 TTD employees to allegedly involve non-Hindu activities. Jagan said that he is not aware of the issue. Addressing reporters, Jagan said in response to a question that he cannot immediately answer such questions. He told reporters, “I don’t know the details of these subjects. I do not know which department they used to work or where they are working. I do not know where these numbers are coming from. ”
