US President Donald Trump’s government has decided to stop all aid to Bangladesh on Sunday i.e. today. The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) has issued guidelines to close all its projects in Bangladesh.
A letter has also been issued by USAID regarding this. In this letter, citing the recent executive order of US President Donald Trump, it was said-

All USAID partners are being ordered to immediately cease or suspend any subsidies, cooperative agreements, or other assistance provided under USAID and Bangladesh contracts.
From this First, the Trump administration has banned all aid to foreign countries except Israel, Egypt and food programs from Friday. According to news agency AFP, in this order of the US State Ministry, health aid to poor countries has also been banned.

America’s US Agency for International Development provides assistance for development work all over the world. This objective is to promote democracy and reduce poverty.

Announcement of starting direct flights in Bangladesh and Pakistan
To strengthen mutual relations, Pakistan and Bangladesh have announced a plan to start direct air service between the two. According to The Express Tribune, Bangladesh High Commissioner Mohammad Iqbal Hussain told this to Pakistan’s Peshawar media on Saturday. There is no direct flight between the two countries since 2018.
Bangladesh High Commissioner emphasized the historical relations between the two countries. He said that such decisions will increase cooperation in different sectors including tourism, education and business. However, no time limit has been announced yet for the direct flight.
Iqbal Hussain also mentioned the growing trade and diplomatic relations between Bangladesh and Pakistan and said that these relations will continue to grow stronger.
