The book quoted Crolie as saying that America was angry with India’s nuclear program. Amid the war with Pakistan, Indian Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri had asked Dr. Bhabha to do something big, but refused to test the bomb before the cabinet approval. In such a situation, the CIA conspired to first kill Shastri and then Bhabha. So that nuclear tests can be stopped in India. Dr. Bhabha Boeing was traveling by 707 aircraft. According to the book, the bomb was placed in the cargo hold of the aircraft, due to which the bursting caused a plane accident.
