Mobile will last for 4 months in just Rs 20! Big news for Jio, Airtel, BSNL, Vi customers, government changed rules – jio bsnl airtel vi users keep sim mobile active four months with rupees 20 recharge pm modi telecom regulatory authority of india trai

TRAI New Rules: The government has given big relief to crores of mobile users of the country. Now mobile users can keep their SIM active for 4 months for just Rs 20. TRAI Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has issued a new guideline to provide relief to prepaid mobile users. Under this, now customers of all telecom operators like Jio, BSNL, Airtel and Vi will be able to keep their mobile number active for 4 months with a minimum recharge of Rs 20. Here we are telling you how the new rule of TRAI will work and how customers can keep their SIM active for four months with a recharge of just Rs 20.

Important points of TRAI guidelines

Automatic Number Retention Scheme

This rule will be applicable to all telecom operators. If a customer does not use voice, data, SMS or other services for 90 days. If his recharge is also not active, then his SIM card can be deactivated i.e. switched off.

number reassignment

If the SIM is active or inactive i.e. closed, the operator can allot that number to a new customer.

Customers will get this benefit on recharge of Rs 20

If a customer recharges Rs 20, his number will remain active for 90 days. This rule is especially beneficial for those customers who want to keep their SIM active in low budget. Also, those who have another SIM and just need to keep it active or recharge it.

How will the SIM remain active for 4 months on a balance of Rs 20?

If the customer does not recharge even after 90 days, but his balance is Rs 20, this balance will be automatically deducted and the validity will be extended by 30 days. That is, the SIM can be kept active for four months on a balance or recharge of Rs 20.

Customers will get grace period

If the customer runs out of balance, he will get a grace period of 15 days. In which it can be recharged and activated again. If the balance is not recharged during this period, the SIM card will be switched off. That means the SIM will not remain active. Once the SIM is switched off, incoming calls and OTP service will stop. This guideline was introduced in 2013, but it was not implemented properly. This step of TRAI will now force telecom operators to follow the rules and give a better experience to the customers.
