JDU state president of Manipur created a political sensation by issuing a letter in which it was said that Nitish Kumar led Janata Dal (United) has withdrawn its support to the N Biren Singh led BJP government in Manipur. After some time, JDU issued an official statement saying that this confusion was spread, the state president of JDU has been removed from the post. He had issued the letter without consulting the party. JDU national spokesperson Rajiv Ranjan said that support to NDA will continue in Manipur.
